| Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP) Member |
| The SGIP was established in 2009 to help NIST fulfill its responsibilities under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (i.e. identify, prioritize, and address new and emerging requirements for smart grid standards). Coincident is an SGIP voting member and participates in the Home-to-Grid Domain Expert Working Group. Coincident also reviews work products from the Smart Grid Architecture Committee and Priority Action Plans (PAPs) 03, 04, 05, 09, 10, and 15. |

| OpenHAN 2.0 Requirements Development |
| The OpenHAN Task Force is a working group within the Open Smart Grid Technical Committee and part of the UCA International Users Group. Its charter is to define the high-level use cases and requirements that should be adopted by utilities, standards development organizations, and implementers of home area networking devices and systems. Coincident has taken an active role in the OpenHAN 2.0 requirements specification process, reviewing proposed changes and providing updates to the content and language of the forthcoming OpenHAN 2.0 Requirements Specification. |

| UPnP Forum is an industry initiative of leading companies in consumer electronics, home appliances, automation, control and security, and mobile products. The Forum's goals are to allow devices to connect seamlessly and to simplify network implementations in home and corporate environments. UPnP has recently formed a Smart Grid Task Force and Working Committee, focused on defining UPnP DCPs for energy services and smart devices. Coincident has joined the UPnP Forum to assist with this activity, and is seeks to integrate this capability into their energy management system. |

| USNAP is an acronym for Utility Smart Network Access Port, a solution that enables in-home devices to utilize a standardized U-SNAP Connector Module to communicate with a utility smart meter or energy services interface. Employing a modular form factor and protocol independent serial interface, the USNAP Alliance aims to extend smart grid services to a variety of energy aware consumer devices and products. |
